The Pretty Duckling - My First Pro animals

I always dream to buy Pro Animal as I would like to Breed Feed and sell it in the market. However, I don't have enough budget plus the Carrot Feed that they need to maintain the 100% health is a little bit expensive. I got enough CBX when the difficulty level went below level 1 but I prioritize buying more extracts as for more profit. I was losing hope already but suddenly they CropBytes released the details for Asset Mining 😍. And there is a new Pro Animals that will join the Pro Asset family.

First, let me talk about Asset Mining before I introduce the new family.

Asset Mining has been one of the topics in the community call and this is included on the initial whitepaper they released in Quarter 1 2022. The people in the community are guessing how the Asset Mining will look like which means that we have been waiting for this since the beginning of the year.
Asset Mining will give a capable to the farmers to generate a new supply of game asset by combining CBX and Pro Mix. Basically, the formula will be:
  
Asset mining formula: Burn (CBX + Pro Mix) + Time

Once they launch the Asset Mining, there will be 4 options on this CBX Station.

CBX Mining - Mine CBX using animal extracts

Pro Assets - Where you can burn your CBX to get your Pro Animals and Super Hero

Asset Mining - You can mine game assets

Active Mining - Where you can see all of the in-progress asset mining

As per the blog about Asset Mining. This is how the Asset Mining Flow will look like.

The Pro Mix

I mentioned about that in order to mine an asset you need CBX and Pro Mix. I know that everyone is aware that CBX is the game token or currency we are using in CropBytes. So, the question here is: What is Pro Mix?
Pro Mix can be obtained by combining Pro Extract and Fruit Feed in the kitchen.
Based on also on the Asset Mining blog that they released, this is the combination to get 10 Pro Mix:

2 Duck Egg + 20 Fruit Feed = 10 Pro Mix
1 Black Egg or 1 Pro Milk or 1 Pro Truffle + 20 Fruit Feed = 10 Pro Mix

The Duck Egg

This is the new Pro Extract that we have in CropBytes in addition to Black Egg, Pro Milk and Pro Truffle.

New Pro Extract only means that we have new Pro Animal and that is Molly.

Molly is a duck that produce 2 Duck Egg when you feed them 1 Carrot Feed and 1 Water from Monday – Saturday and 1 Fruit Feed on Sunday.

In order to get Molly, you need to burn 100 CBX. Yes, you read it correctly. It is only 100 CBX which is very affordable. They also made some changes with the price of other Pro Animals. You can see the changes with the price on this blog:

CropBytes made these changes to ensure that Pro Animals to ensure that it is accessible to everyone including the small-time farmer. In addition to these changes, they also did an airdrop for the existing Pro Animals owner which I find very fair as these farmers bought their Pro Animals at higher cost.

 

Let’s talk about my Molly..

I bought Molly earlier and I am very happy as this is the first Pro Asset I got. Though, I noticed that Duck Egg is not yet included in the ingredients for crafting Breed Feed. I am not certain if they will include Duck Egg soon but for now, we can only use Duck Egg to Pro Mix which is still sounds good to me.

Now, I have my pretty duckling Molly, I need to secure enough supply of Carrot Feed and strategize as the animal health is still applicable with our Pro Animals.

 

CropBytes continue to implement the updates they have on their pipe line. With this new Pro Animal and new use case of Pro Extracts, CBX is alive again in the market. Is this the beginning of CBX going to the moon? 🌙

My Past, Present and Future in CropBytes

The Past

 

I discovered Crop Bytes back October 2021 when I am looking for something cool to play.To be honest, I am having some doubts to invest at first but after doing my own research and the 7 days trial, I decided to invest.

The initial invest I put on the game is 899 TRX which is 4500 PHP that time. I bought a Large Starter Pack to start with my farm. At first, I don't know what I am doing but after joining the Crop Bytes community in Telegram, I meet a lot of people that gave me tips on how to take care of my farm. The next asset I bought is the limited Small Well Pack which cost 1200 TRX. I prioritize this pack because it is for limited time only and water is essential to keep my animals' health at 100%. I was able to buy the Medium and Small Pack from the profit I got by holding the Game Coins I bought. This is one thing good about waiting 😊

The Present

 

Currently, my farm is pretty well. I was able to buy all the Limited Starter Pack that they released during sale and got some assets like P1 Hen, P1 Goat and Small Well by joining some events or CB Army missions.

Normally, I spend 15 minutes of my time to do my daily routine like feed my animals and harvest crops. One way to ensure that your farm is productive is to ensure that you feed the animals and harvest the crops on-time. In terms of managing the extracts, I read all the updates and ensure to the check the data in CBX Supply Page to see how I will get profit from the extracts. Waiting for the right time to mine CBX using my extracts or sell it on the market is good way to get profit. Then, I will reinvest the profit I got or use it to buy supplies that I need in my farm.

Another way to get profit is by trading. Crop Bytes has it's own market inside the game where you can enhance your trading skill. Actually, this is where I learn the concept of buy low, sell high 😊. I would say that I am not that good in trading that is why I am more into farming. But the basic knowledge that I have is somehow helpful when I need to buy supplies like back up feeds and water.

The Future 🌙

My farm is not yet that big and to be honest there are lot of times I would like to give up due to my busy schedule. However, I don't want to put everything into waste. Also, I have lots of assets that I wanted to get. I dream of owning a Super Hero someday or a Feed Mill.

I may don't have enough funds yet to buy those assets that I want but I have a short term and long-term goal for my farm.

Short Term - I would like to buy a Solar Panel soon and some Pro-animals. I just fulfill one of those two as I just bought the new Pro-animal that they released, Molly the Duck. I am planning to add more but need to ensure I have enough Carrot Feed for them.

Long Term - Become a Feed Mill owner and enjoy the profit from my investment I put in Crop Bytes 10 years from now. I strongly believe that the game will last that long as there are still lot of things in the whitepaper and I believe that Sandeep and his gang will continue to improve the game and find new things that will encourage the farmers to work on their farm.

Playing CropBytes is like owning a real farm. It is your responsibility as a farmer to ensure that you still monitor it progress, price of the market and what is new on the game. In addition, you also need to set plans and goals as this is really a long term investment. Being up to date with everything that is happening on the game is very helpful in coming up with good decision.

There are lot of things going on in the game right now and farmers are looking forward to this upcoming Asset Mining. I know sooner or later CBX or Crop Bytes will go to the moon 🌙

A Time to Remember in my CropBytes Farm

 8:00 AM PH time is the equivalent of 12:00 AM in CropBytes time. I set my alarm on this time to ensure that I will not forget to feed my animals. Yes, I am a forgetful person especially I work at night and I normally sleep around 10:00 AM PH time that's why there is a big chance that I will forget to feed them.

I know you have a question in your mind if there is a chance that I forget to feed them. And the answer is YES! This the reason why I come up this kind of strategy as this incident resulted for my animal’s health to go below 100%.

Another incident that almost made my animal health below 100% is when I overlooked my Pig Shed. But I was saved by the notification from CropBytes. It is a good thing that I turned on the notification. Placement of the sheds in your farm where you can easily notice and checking if they already fed before exiting the game is something I did to ensure that this will not happen again.

Being mindful with the time is very important in playing CropBytes. There are lot of farmers that I know, who also set alarm and wake up just to harvest their crops and water which is also a good strategy to ensure that you will have enough feeds and water for your animals when you need to feed him.

Currently, I have animals inside my Hen Shed, Cow Shed, Goat Shed and Pig Shed.

Hen Shed 🐔

• 16 P1 Hen

Per P1 Hen, 1 Corn Feed (Mon - Sat), 1 Fruit Feed (Sun) and 1 Water (everyday)

• 1 Red Rooster

Per Red Rooster, 4 Corn Feed (Mon - Sat), 1 Fruit Feed (Sun) and 3 Water (everyday)

Cow Shed 🐄

• 3 P1 Cow

Per P1 Cow, 5 Corn Feed (Mon - Sat), 1 Fruit Feed (Sun) and 2 Water (everyday)

Goat Shed 🐐

• 8 P1 Goat

Per P1 Goat, 3 Corn Feed (Mon - Sat), 1 Fruit Feed (Sun) and 2 Water (everyday)

•  1 Dorper Sheep

Per Dorper Sheep, 1 Corn Feed (Mon - Sat), 1 Fruit Feed (Sun) and 1 Water (everyday)

Pig Shed 🐷

• 2 P1 Pig

Per P1 Pig, 4 Corn Feed (Mon - Sat), 1 Fruit Feed (Sun) and 3 Water (everyday)

I am maintaining my animals' health at 100% always as getting my extracts every day is important. Though, as per the rule of the game, they will stop giving extracts if they went below 80% but better not to miss the chance of getting the extracts for the day.

Here are some tips that I learned to keep my animals' health at 100%.

1. Balance your farm.
Nothing is good to have a balance farm as you will not worry anything. My farm is currently not balance as I am -2 for the required weekly cord feed. That is why I always do the tip number 2

2. Be an Ant. Always buy back up feeds and water ahead of time.
The price of water and feeds are unpredictable. It might increase that is why you need to buy it when the price is at low price. Buying feeds and water when you only need it will result to get it in high price.

3. Set an alarm.
As I mentioned on the first part of this blog, setting an alarm on when you will feed your animals, harvest your crop and gather water is a good practice. This will ensure that you feed your animals daily and have the enough feed and water for them. Always remember that you still need to grind your corns to be feed so this is something you need to include with your calculations.

4. Be mindful in buying animals.
Don't buy animals if you can't feed them. It is like taking care of a pet. If you don't have enough money to keep them alive don't get one. The mistake of other players is buying lots of tradeable animals without considering how long it will stay on the sheds before they sell it.

5. If you don't have enough feeds for the week, consider the Animal Grazing option.
Good thing that CropBytes come up with this idea. This will be helpful to the players that doesn't have enough budget to buy feeds and water. Though, it has a fee but at least you will have 7 days to save some feeds and you will prevent your animal from going to below 80%

CropBytes is about timing. Yes, it is not time consuming to play but you still need to be a responsible farm owner and mindful of the time. Assume that you really own a real-life farm.
